‘AERIAL EXHIBIT’ AT THE SPYROMILIOS ARCADE

Spyromiliou Arcade has been transformed into a unique ‘aerial exhibit’, showcasing the collaboration of the National Theatre and the National Museum of Contemporary Art in promoting the theatrical performances of the period 2018 – 2019.
The new season performances of the National Theatre speak to spectators through the artworks of modern Greek and foreign artists. In the heart of the city, at City Link, important artworks from the National Museum of Contemporary Art carry the message of the plays before they even take to the stage.
The works are presented to the audience via a new visual language that borrows semiological elements, codes, forms, myths, images, symbols, meanings, the perception of a different means of artistic expression.
The exhibition is an initiative of the Artistic Director of the National Theatre, Stathis Livathinos, which was positively received by the Director of the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Katerina Koskinas. It has the support of Piraeus Real Estate CEO Georgios Kormas, who warmly welcomed the idea of presenting this undertaking at City Link’s atmospheric Spyromiliou Arcade.
