19 Dec CHRISTMAS COMES TO LIFE WITH MUSIC IN THE HEART OF ATHENS
City Link, the city’s ultimate destination for outings, shopping, culinary experiences and entertainment, becomes the centre of Christmas and invites everyone to join in the magic with live music.
On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 December, as well as on Saturday 29 December, Michalis Hatzis, accompanied by pianist Mario Kazas, create an atmospheric live encounter between Greek and European melodies.
On Christmas Eve and on Sunday 30 December, the 8tetto vocal group proposes a musical programme with a selection of Christmas songs from the pre-classical era to the present day, from the USA to Africa. Classical, traditional, pop, jazz and gospel Christmas songs come together and are performed a capella by 8 singers for a truly unique Christmas experience.
On the day before New Year’s Eve, the 1,2,3 Swing Trio, three women with an explosive sound whose every performance sets the mood and gets even the most demanding audience swaying, will be performing classical swing, jazz, and Latin hits, as well as daring adaptations, in a retro style matching the spirit of the holiday season.
